Many names for Granddaddy Purple, an indica cannabis strain, exist, such as “Grand Daddy Purp,” “Granddaddy Purps,” “GDP,” and “Grandaddy Purple Kush.” Ken Estes made Granddaddy Purple, also known as GDP, well-known in 2003. GDP is an indica hybrid that combines Mendo Purps, Skunk, and Afghanistan. This California mainstay gets its unique aroma of grapes and berries from its parent strains, Mendo Purps and Afghanistan, and its large, compact bud structure from Skunk. GDP flowers have rich purple blooms that provide a striking contrast to the white crystal resin sprinkling that resembles snow. Its powerful effects, which combine physical relaxation with cerebral bliss, are readily apparent in both the mind and the body. While your body is more likely to remain motionless throughout GDP’s effects, your brain can find themselves floating in a dreamy whirl. Granddaddy Purple is usually taken off the shelves by customers who want to relieve pain, anxiety, insomnia, loss of appetite, and spasms in their muscles. GDP bestows upon gardeners enormous harvests that are available for harvesting after an indoor flowering period of 60 days.

I bought this primarily to try for my IBS but found it to also be great for muscle aches and relaxation and focus. The taste is smooth.
